LAYOUTS & PAIRINGS
Boulder Blocs layouts: from a single bloc to a full boulder park
All nine Boulder Blocs share the same wall angles and anchoring system, so any models can be paired, mirrored and grouped into new formations. Start with one bloc, add a second for a play circuit, or plan a destination boulder park. Every configuration below is already modelled and can be quoted.
Modelled configurations
Two-bloc pair
Diamond + Flat Iron with opposing faces and a shared use zone. A compact way to double the climbing without doubling the footprint.
Offset duo
A staggered pair that creates a traverse line between blocs, so groups keep moving.
Open V
Mirrored faces forming a sheltered climbing pocket, with a strong visual presence from the path.
Stacked wedge
Overlapping wedges with a low top-out on one side and a steep face on the other.
Play circuit
Two blocs plus stepping pods and swings in one surfacing area, designed to work alongside existing playground equipment.
Boulder park
A nine-bloc destination composition with a circulation loop, serving every age band from toddlers to teens.
Pairings that work
-
Tot lot: Lil Bloc + Pebble, the two lowest fall heights in the range (5'-2" and 4'-9") for ages 2 to 12
-
Mixed ages: Stone Henge + Lil Bloc, sharing the same wall angles so they read as one composition
-
Maximum climbing for the surfacing budget: Diamond, with 422 sq ft of climbing surface at a 7'-0" fall height
-
Narrow or linear sites: Carnac Stone (4'-5" deep) or Flat Iron (4'-8" deep)
-
Schools and rec centres: Flint Stone, 23'-5" long with 257 holds for whole-class programming
-
Landmark piece: Kjerabolten, the tallest bloc at 11'-11", or Naica's nine-crystal field for every age band
Plan your layout
Send us your site plan and available area. We will suggest models and a layout, show the combined use zone, and render the configuration for your client or council. Custom combinations are modelled and quoted on request, with CAD, Revit and render packages supplied.
